Learning From My Gaming Mistakes
by Stanley on December 17th, 2009
I have been betting online or at land based gambling dens for a good many years. I have been taught, the habit usually will take a hold of you and you won’t even see it up until you are beaten. Markedly if you are on a run. I have gone through many thousands of dollars in just a tiny period of time and even still on occasion, I sometimes go too long. It appears you are only having fun up till you decide to pay attention to your losses and the blame settles in, and then you continue telling yourself "I am able to win the funds back" ad infinitum. It does not work. Then you get sick to your stomach and the harder you attempt the quicker you give away.
When you see that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to fritter away, do not inform yourself, "well only 1 more" a number of times, trust me, this technique RARELY ever operates. Say you plan on wagering on one armed bandits, keep a figure set aside prior to starting your gaming. DON’T exceed that boundary, no matter how tempting. If you happen to gain, put that in an alternate pot. Don’t bet your earnings at any cost. Once you have wagered through your original set cutoff, stop. Depart, regardless if it’s on the net or in a brick and mortar gambling den, do not stay at the tables or machines. Make sure to keep in mind, there certainly is other days, other times. Clearly, this plan usually will function for any game that you bet on, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, twenty-one or any other game.
Remember, wagering should be entertaining not burdensome, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong at the casinos. If you cannot manage the losses, do not ever begin.
